Resorts World Casino New York City sits on Rockaway Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, on land leased out of the old Aqueduct Racetrack site, and for most of its life it was not legally a casino at all. It opened on 28 October 2011 as a video lottery facility: the machines were products of the New York state lottery system, authorised under a 2001 statute that let racetracks install gambling devices and split the proceeds with the state. That changed on 15 December 2025, when the New York State Gaming Commission granted the property a full commercial casino licence, and again on 28 April 2026, when live dealer table games opened on the floor. - It is now. For its first fourteen years it operated as a video lottery facility under a 2001 New York statute permitting gambling devices at racetracks, which is a lottery category rather than a casino one. The New York State Gaming Commission granted a full commercial casino licence on 15 December 2025, and live dealer table games opened on 28 April 2026. It is described in the public record as the first and only legal casino inside New York City.

- We could not find a published opening-hours schedule on any of the twelve operator pages we retrieved on 25 August 2026, so we do not state one. What those pages do say is that renovation work is under way across the casino floor and that a portion of a new first-floor room has opened, which is a reason to check with the venue before travelling rather than to trust a number found on a guide site. The rewards counter does publish its own hours: 9am to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 9am to 2am on Friday and Saturday.
- Who owns Resorts World Casino?
- The Queens property is owned and operated by Genting Malaysia Berhad, a Kuala Lumpur listed company that is itself part of the Genting group. Genting won the right to operate at Aqueduct in August 2010 with an upfront licensing fee bid of 380 million dollars, about 55 million more than the nearest competing bid. - The operator publishes two free shuttle loops: one between the train station and the casino bus lobby, listed as running 8am to 2am, and one between the Jamaica bus depot and the casino, listed as hourly from 10am to midnight outbound and 10:40am to 11:40pm returning. The same page states that self-parking is free, that garage parking is free for rewards members, and that valet costs 25 dollars for 24 hours. Those were the published details on 25 August 2026; we have not used any of them.
